PGMA has obtained the patent from the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (request no. P201430655) for a procedure that purifies water polluted with heat transfer fluid (HTF).
As well as purifying water, the invention also recovers the pollutant (HTF) in its undissolved stage. This procedure was tested, obtaining concentrations of diphenyl oxide and biphenyl (HTF) in the <0.002ppm effluent. This system is widely used in the solar thermal industry.
